Boann Distillery, established in 2019 by the Cooney family in Drogheda, County Meath, revived whiskey production in the area after more than a century. It operates with a full grain-to-glass model, using locally sourced Irish barley and water from the Boyne Valley. The distillery uses triple distillation through three custom copper pot stills designed to enhance copper contact. Boann produces both single malt and single pot still Irish whiskey, with its first mature releases bottled in 2024.
