Douglas Laing & Co., founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing in Glasgow, has built its reputation as an independent bottler known for a diverse lineup that emphasizes regional character—most notably through its “Remarkable Regional Malts” and “Old Particular” series. These ranges allow whisky drinkers to explore stylistic variety across Scotland. In 2019, Douglas Laing expanded from bottling into distilling in the form of Strathearn Distillery, adding a new dimension to its long-running operations.
